Our Story
P.M. Bagchi & Company is an inborn institution established for more than a century and is 136 years old renowned publishing house. Its primary publication is the Bengali Almanac (Panjika). P.M. Bagchi Panjika is a popular household name in Bengali communities across India, Bangladesh, UK and USA.
The Panjika also includes the varying time schedules for Hindu festivals celebrated in foreign countries. This Panjika is a powerhouse of information and a ready guide for people of various sections and sub-sections of the Hindu religions. It contains details of religious procedures as laid out in the “Shastras”, including a list of best and good moments and the dates for several rituals, ceremonies, puja festivals, marriage and other festivities.
